I never thought that Hannah was good at handling pain. I always thought of her as being a complainer and not being able to deal with it at all. Boy...did I EVER misjudge this girl! She was so brave during the surgery, and her recovery has been absolutely amazing. She has hardly complained at all about being in pain, although we know she must be. Sometimes she says that it hurts when she swallows, but not very often. She's been up and about, playing in her playroom, playing outside, running around like she did before the surgery. Not weak at all. Eating...drinking...not much interest at all in ice cream (!!!) or popsicles. She ate a lot of oatmeal and yogurt afterwards and has been eating homemade mac and cheese. She wants grilled cheese, but we won't give it to her yet. They said to keep her home for a week, but we're thinking about sending her to school Monday...at least for part of the day...because she just has so much energy and needs to use it up!! But we're just very proud of her.Elijah is doing great, too. He's been playing and smiling a lot. We put him in the Exersaucer for the first time, and he loved it! He was so curious about all the sights and sounds!! Each time we put him in, he "gets it" more and more. Now, he's able to use his feet to turn himself around in it. And, he can use his hands to reach for the toys. He's really growing!! Things are going great here!! Now if I can just get things cleaned up here...having Hannah home playing constantly for the past few days has made it look like a tornado has gone through!!
